Dupalo prices: a safe buying guide with 7 products compared

Dupalo prices at the Dupalo Pusat store on Tokopedia ranged from Rp47,250 to Rp94,500 across the ten products we saw on 3 November 2026. However, other Shopee sellers listed the same product names for more, with gaps of 18 to 82 percent.

This table of Dupalo prices compares same-size packs from the central store and from other sellers. The central store's figures come from a Tokopedia search page, while the other sellers' figures come from BigGo, which summarizes Shopee listings.

The percentages are our own calculation. Also, some Gentong Tiga Dupa listings are for different scents, so that row is only a rough guide. Shipping and store discounts aren't included either.

Why do Dupalo prices differ between stores?

We don't know how each seller sets prices, because they don't say. Still, a few common causes make sense. Resellers usually buy stock first, then add a margin, platform fees and packing costs.

Besides, location can matter. A 504 g pack is fairly heavy, so a buyer outside Java may pay less in total from a closer seller. Therefore, compare the final total as well as the product price.

A 2021 IDN Times report also says Dupalo has many retailers in different regions. So higher Dupalo prices don't mean a product is fake. They only mean you're paying more for an item with the same name.

Which stores use the Dupalo name?

First, we found three accounts that look closest to the maker. However, Dupalo hasn't confirmed them to us, so treat this list as an early finding.

The name Rosa Amelia matches the owner named in media reports from 2021 and 2022, as we note in our profile of this maker. Even so, a matching name isn't proof of ownership. Store ratings also come from the platform, and we can't check each one.

We also tried dupalopusat.com, which appears in search results and a business directory. However, we couldn't reach that address on 3 November 2026. As a result, we can't use it as a price reference yet.

Dupalo prices per gram and per stick

Pack prices can mislead you, since each pack holds a different amount. So work out Dupalo prices per unit. The figures below make a fairer comparison.

In this table, gaharu powder costs more per gram than gaharu sticks. That said, the two aren't directly comparable, because sticks also contain a bamboo core. Note too that the last two rows aren't central store prices.

Have Dupalo prices risen since older reports?

That's hard to answer, because older reports don't always describe the same pack. In 2022, Malang's city government recorded a range of Rp18,000 to Rp360,000 per pack. Meanwhile, Jawa Pos reported Rp18,000 for 9 sticks in 2024.

Nine sticks at Rp18,000 works out to about Rp2,000 per stick. That sits between the large and small packs in the table above. So small packs do tend to cost more per stick, which suits trying a new scent rather than regular use.

The most expensive central store item we saw on Shopee was candu apel, 180 g, at Rp132,300. By contrast, another seller offered a similar product for Rp166,000. We don't yet know this product's exact form, since the listings we read don't explain it.

Seven steps to buy safely

Marketplaces make buying easy, but product names are easy to copy. Before you pay, follow these steps:

1. Check the store name. Compare the seller against the accounts listed above.
2. Check the shipping location. The central store is listed in Malang City, while resellers may be elsewhere.
3. Work out the price per gram. A cheap pack isn't always the best value.
4. Read the pack details. Make sure the brand, scent, weight and stick count are clear.
5. Compare the final total. Add shipping, then subtract any discounts.
6. Start with a small pack. Scent is personal, so one small pack lowers the risk of a poor choice.
7. Keep evidence. Film yourself opening the parcel, so a claim is easier if an item arrives damaged.

Which product is the best value for beginners?

Although Dupalo prices look simple, the best value depends on your goal. If you only want to try a scent, choose a small stick pack of 20 or 27. Once you like a scent, a 504 g pack usually costs less per gram.

We opened public Tokopedia pages on 3 November 2026 and recorded the prices shown without logging in. Tokopedia reports 30 products for the term Dupalo, but the page we received only showed the first 10.

Shopee refused our automated access, so all Shopee figures come from BigGo. Because of that, they may lag behind the app. Dupa Incense is run by a Dupalo partner and hasn't tested these products. Finally, Dupalo prices can change at any time.
