Gentong Tiga incense, sold as Gentong Tiga Dupa, is a brand that marketplace listings and its Facebook page link to Dupalo, an incense maker in Malang. We found five product groups: Special, Premium, Gold, Asturba and powder. However, we found no official class list, so this grouping only comes from listing names.

Why is Gentong Tiga incense linked to Dupalo?

Several clues point to this link. First, the Dupalo Pusat store titles its listing "produk DUPALO merk Gentong Tiga Dupa". Second, the Gentong Tiga Dupa Facebook page lists CV Dupalo as its maker, as we note in our profile of the maker. Third, a search snippet from dupalopusat.com names Gentong Tiga Dupa, Atma and Seri 27 as its brands.

However, we couldn't open that address on 3 November 2026, so we only read the snippet. We also found nothing further about Seri 27. Therefore, treat these brand links as early information until the maker confirms them.

What do the Gentong Tiga incense classes mean?

We found no official explanation of each class, since sellers only give the names. So this section separates what's written from what we infer.

Special Basah

The word basah means wet, and it appears on the 504 g and 27-stick packs. Listings don't explain it. By comparison, the Atma line from the same store says dry incense, so the word may describe the sticks' condition. Please check this reading with the seller.

Premium

This class appears on packs of 20, 50 and 100 sticks. The price per stick varies widely, from about Rp580 on a sold-out 50-stick pack to Rp3,050 on a 20-stick pack. As a result, the word premium alone can't tell you whether a pack is good value.

Gold

Listings describe a tube of 108 sticks and a refill of 126 sticks, both 39 cm long. It had the highest pack prices among the lines we saw. Meanwhile, Jawa Pos reported a gold class at Rp324,000 per kilogram in 2024, but that report names no brand.

Asturba

Jawa Pos mentioned a form called asturba without explaining it. Now one listing answers that, because it reads asturba (asap turun bawah), meaning smoke flowing downward. This suggests backflow incense, yet the listing says 27 sticks and doesn't describe the shape. So ask first whether it needs a special holder.

Powder

One reseller offers a 3 ons powder of this brand in a Cendana Keraton variant. Meanwhile, the Atma line also has a 3 ons powder. The two aren't the same, so check the brand on the pack.

Gentong Tiga incense scent variants

Gentong Tiga incense listings mention many scent names, and not all of them explain the material. Here's what appears for this brand:

  • Flowers: Melati (jasmine), Mawar (rose), Kamboja (frangipani), Lavender, Teratai Merah (red lotus) and Tunjung Biru (blue lotus).
  • Offerings and leaves: Canang Sari and Pandan Wangi.
  • Sweet and drinks: Sarimadu, Vanila, Kopi (coffee) and Putu Ayu.
  • Signature names: Candan, Himalaya, Malaikat Putih (White Angel), Honesty and Romantic.

We cover these names in more detail in our guide to the scents. Remember that a scent name doesn't prove the contents. For example, the Lavender variant may not contain real lavender.

How do you read a Gentong Tiga incense label?

Before you buy Gentong Tiga incense, ask these four questions so you choose well:

  1. How many sticks are inside? A 504 g label doesn't state the stick count directly.
  2. What does basah mean? Ask whether the sticks need drying or change quickly in storage.
  3. How long does it burn? We didn't find that figure in this brand's listings.
  4. Where does the scent come from? A 2021 IDN Times report describes Dupalo spraying fragrance, but it doesn't separate its brands.

If you care more about the scent of raw materials, see our Atma line review, because those descriptions specifically reject oil scents. By contrast, if you want floral or fruit scents for a room, Gentong Tiga incense offers more names to choose from.

Tips for burning scented incense at home

This section is general advice, because we haven't tested these products. First, use a stable heatproof holder. Then open a window and start with half a stick. Finally, never leave burning incense unattended.

One reseller describes its Honesty variant as a room fragrance. However, that label doesn't mean the smoke is free of risk. Therefore, read our guide to smoke and ventilation first, especially if children, pets or people with asthma share your home.
