Privacy policy
What Dupa Incense collects, why, and how you can say no.
The short version
- If your browser uses an Indonesian time zone, Google Analytics starts automatically and you can decline it. Everywhere else, it only starts if you accept.
- Your Almanac birth details stay on your device.
- We don't run ads on this site or sell your data.
Google Analytics
On a browser set to an Indonesian time zone, it starts when you open the site, and we show a notice with the option to decline. We use the time zone only as an estimate of where you are, so it can be wrong, for example if you're traveling. On other browsers, it waits until you accept. We use it to learn which pages are useful and whether readers follow links to shops. It records pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, the site that sent you here, and clicks on links to Tokopedia, Shopee or WhatsApp.
Google processes this data for us and sets cookies to tell visits apart. Google's ad personalization and Google signals are turned off in our setup. User-level data is kept for 2 months, and we look at summaries rather than individuals. We may use those summaries to review the site's content and our partnership with Dupalo.
What stays in your browser
Your theme, language, saved list and cookie choice are stored in your own browser and aren't sent to us. The Almanac works out its results on your device, so your birth details aren't stored or sent anywhere, including to Google Analytics.
Server logs
Like most websites, our server and hosting systems may keep technical logs, such as IP address, browser and page requested, for security and to fix faults.
Your choice
Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to accept or decline at any time. If you decline after it has started, we stop Analytics and remove its cookies from this site. Data already collected stays until its retention period ends.
Links to other sites
Shops, sources and other sites we link to have their own privacy rules, so check them when you visit.
Contacting us
If you message us on WhatsApp or by email, we receive your number or address and your message so we can reply. WhatsApp and Google, which runs our email, handle them under their own privacy policies. The number and address are on the contact page.
